India’s First 70-Acre AI City to Rise in Lucknow’s Sarojininagar

Lucknow is poised to become a major technological powerhouse as the Uttar Pradesh government announces the development of India’s first 70-acre AI City in Sarojininagar. This ambitious project aims to transform the region into a cutting-edge hub for artificial intelligence, defence technology, and digital innovation, positioning the state as a frontrunner in the country’s digital revolution.

Planned as a next-generation smart ecosystem, the AI City will host world-class infrastructure dedicated to AI research, startups, and global tech giants. Companies like IBM, Genpact, and Dassault Systems have already expressed interest in investing and setting up operations within the city. The project will foster innovation in critical areas such as defence tech, machine learning, robotics, big data, and autonomous systems, creating thousands of job opportunities for skilled professionals, researchers, and engineers.

The development also includes an Aerocity focusing on aerospace and defence industries, further strengthening the region’s strategic and economic significance. A State Artificial Intelligence Commission is being proposed to formulate AI policies, monitor implementations, and facilitate collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Designed with modern amenities, green energy infrastructure, and sustainable urban planning, the AI City reflects the vision of a digitally empowered Uttar Pradesh. It will not only drive regional economic growth but also serve as a blueprint for other Indian states looking to embrace AI and advanced technologies.

This initiative is a major milestone in India’s journey toward becoming a global leader in artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
